This was the last recording I did and I thought it was a very interesting all different noises the different trucks made. From the hydraulics of the legs on the backhoe, to the back up bells on the backhoe and dump truck, I thought it made a very interesting clip. It also reminded me a little bit of the Pink Floyd song "Time".
All day I kept walking by houses with wind chimes but none of them where in the path of the wind so I was hoping I would come across a house that had a chime that was loud enough for me to record. Well at the near end of my walk I finally found this location along with a crow that didn't want me to get a good recording of just a wind chime.
A house on the eastside was getting a new sidewalk which was nice for them but also for me because the crew that was doing the work was making some interesting sounds that I was able to record.
For the next sound I came across two guys that were doing some tree trimming at a house with saws and a truck with a bucket on it. I asked them if it would be alright if I recorded them and they said it would be fine.
I began my walk and not even walking a city block I was able to find my first sound. It wasn't raining on the day I went on my drift but in the sewer there was water running which kind of reminded me of a waterfall. It makes me feel like I am sitting in some sort of cave with a small waterfall but then the sounds of the cars and trucks going by reminds me I am on the eastside of Milwaukee.
